Resources for Curriculum for Excellence - Starter kits

To lead and underpin the necessary culture change, there are a number of things that schools and early years centres can do now: 

• promote reflection, debate and discussion about the impact of the values, purposes and principles of Curriculum for Excellence upon teaching and learning policies, and about how to provide an enriched learning experience
• examine forthcoming improvement and development planning through the lens of the values, purposes and principles
• consider how well use is being made of existing flexibility, for example thinking about how to use different ways of organising learning, timetabling and class grouping.

A range of starter kits for different audiences is currently available. These resources are designed to encourage reflection and discourse. They may be customised to suit local circumstances, for example by adding logos, photos, further information and questions. Let us know how you have chosen to use this resource through the website.
