Breadalbane Academy, fair trade fashion show

How will the achievements of this project contribute to future ideas and developments?

This is the third year that the Fashion Show has been held annually. It is planned to hold the show every two years and have a 'market place' every other year. This is in order to maintain the momentum with the Planning Group and keep the community involved. There are plans to advertise job descriptions on the school website for leaders and helpers to undertake advertising tasks, organising roles and other essential behind-the-scenes work.

Pupils are starting their own enterprise schemes and the school aims to involve Business Studies and Maths departments in marketing the show and in other enterprise activities.

There are also plans to involve Breadalbane’s feeder secondary, Pitlochry High School, in contributing to future events. Senior pupils come to to Breadalbane from Pitlochry for fifth and sixth year.

The Art and Design Department staff also assume the role of visiting art specialists in Breadalbane’s associated primary school (on campus) and, through this connection, it is hoped to involve them too in future enterprise projects.
